Weight Loss and Staying in Shape (The Beginning)

Clearly staying in shape is one of the things I am quite passionate about in this life and hopefully in the life after, if reincarnation is the real deal that is. Here are a few tips to get you going.

Call me crazy but I have never gone through the day, without making a decision. In short we make choices every other second. But the most important thing to remember is this, Choice involves decision making. 
One has to want this, one has to convince themselves, they need this. I for one made up my mind a few years ago to drop the pounds, keep them off and most importantly stay healthy.   

One of the most important decisions you will make in this life (Health wise), is about the food that you put into your mouth! My advice is this make 80 percent of the food you eat healthy and 20 percent can be reserved for controlled indulgence. The real reason behind this is that if you completely cut out everything  you enjoy from your food, you will just fall back into your old bad habits so very easily.

This is so much food, that even if I was starving I wouldn't finish this. I had almost half of everything pictured here and I couldn't eat anymore.  
I am such a foodie, so the solution is to choose my food wisely, forgive my manners but as I type this my mind entertains thoughts of Hungry Lion chicken and those chunky chips, any way usually once a week is cheat day for me, otherwise I would totally loose it and I am radther a realistic being.

Most people who initially have good intentions when they embark on a weight loss or healthy journey  make this common mistake, of deciding to eat like a bird, one needs to eat good human portions and not bird portions for sustainability. People please you need to eat, in order for your body to function at an optimum. One needs good healthy food for that to happen, good protein, good oils, good carbs, vegetables and fruits. 

I love me some eggs, When God created Feta Cheese best believe he had me in mind!
Please, do not skip meals, not eating for long periods of time puts your body into a catabolic state, meaning it starts to break down muscle tissue for energy and conserves fat.
Life is hard as is, now imagine leading one that is unhealthy, that would definitely be much harder in my opinion.The Million Dollar question is do you want this? Are you ready to change, to give up your bad habits, More in the next post.
